Karla Cruz Godoy is a passionate educator, advocate, and changemaker committed to reimagining education as a force for equity and empowerment. A proud alumna of San Diego Met, she cultivated her dedication to social justice at UC Berkeley, earning a B.A. in Gender and Women’s Studies and Education. She deepened her impact by teaching high school in Washington, D.C., while earning her M.S. Ed. from Johns Hopkins University, gaining firsthand experience in shaping inclusive and transformative learning environments. As Senior Leadership Development Manager at Big Picture Learning, Karla designs and implements leadership development programs, fellowships, and conferences that empower educators and leaders to drive systemic change. With expertise in program design, facilitation, and strategic project management, Karla remains steadfast in her mission to create transformative educational experiences that inspire and equip future changemakers.
